Michelle D. Brooks is a Sunday School teacher and spiritual motivator. She serves as an encourager to all who need to be reminded who they are in Christ.

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Michelle moved to the rural area of Laurens, South Carolina and is humbly living out her life’s mission as a messenger and servant for Jesus Christ. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from St. Joseph’s College, Brooklyn, New York.  

She strives to shine the Lord’s Light wherever she goes, and seeks to share His Good News—which is the function of My Speakable Joy. Many of the poems in this collection are from past journal writings shared with and inspired by the Lord. Some of the poems are influenced by experiences and life observations during her ongoing journey of faith.

Michelle derives much of her influence from her lovely and talented daughters: Alanna and Sabrina. In fact, they are the artists behind the three flying images on the book cover.

 

After receiving the Lord’s permission, Michelle is sharing with the world her intimate talks with the Lord and the source of her Unspeakable Joy: Jesus Christ.
