Spiritual vs Worldly Deposits...

Banks are not the only place where deposits and withdrawals are made. Our minds receive deposits and send out withdrawals in the form of thoughts and words we speak.

If you want to know why people act the way they do, or why they say what they say;

look at the deposits. If there are more worldly deposits, there are usually more worldly thoughts and negative actions that result. When someone has Jesus' Holy Spirit within, you will see it in that persons walk, and their actions.

The popular saying: "You are what you eat," does not only apply to food. It applies to the practice of studying, and applying God's Word to your life. The more we draw closer to Christ and pray, the more we are in His presence and can receive His Word. His Holy Spirit teaches us the right way to go.

When we receive Jesus as Our Savior, He renews our mind and we are made new. Others witness this internal change by the Light we shine when we speak and move. Some can simply walk in a room and you feel The Holy Spirit is there.

Those that are in Christ and have a relationship, have a gift of discernment. The Word let's us know how we can identify what spirits we are encountering:

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

(1 John 4:1)

I pray we examine ourselves daily and ask The Lord to remove anything in us that is not like Him or vaults itself against His Word. I pray we spend more time in His Word so we can have more Spiritual than worldly deposits. We live in a sick, dying world where people are in such need; Christians should have a life saving Word come out, than a selfish worldly word. The only way Jesus can come out, is if we allow Him in.

I speak this Word that The Lord told us we can declare to guide our thoughts:

"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,"

(2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

Be Blessed
